Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands, NJ can be regarded as a track that is under the radar in the rich golf state of New Jersey. A great example of a renovation that can make a course more fun, but yet be such a great test because of recent green renovations, short grass expansion, and the beautiful 66 bunkers that got renovated. So fun tee to green, and then the greens can get quirky and unique creating some really slippery and tough 2 putts. A course that went from one of boring bunkers and too many trees to one that is challenging for the low handicap and fun for the high thanks to @forse_golf_design and @mottingolf The course had been previously touched by Steven Kay. Really good variety of par 3’s including the downhill 9th which is a great example of the undulating and challenging greens the course possesses. A great under the radar golf course that is an example of what we can see in the future if courses follow a similar path and the quality of golf courses improving throughout the nation.
