The Misquamicut Club, in Westerly, Rhode Island. A true hidden gem and old school golf course touched by many of the greats (Donald Ross, Seth Raynor, Tom Bendelow and Willie Anderson) The front nine meanders through rolling, hilly terrain then you are soon staring the Atlantic Ocean in the eyes once you go over the hump and reach 10 green. So much history that is cherished at this club, and the amount of fun and challenge with the layout and unique green complexes that is presented with this 6,214 yard par 69 is something that needs to be talked about more in this game. You see many features that Ross and Raynor both embodied throughout their careers, and many of these feature are shown right on the ocean, which no other club in the world can say they have with Ross and Raynor combined. A mini Punchbowl on the water, a volcano par 3, and teared greens. This short par 69 can challenge even the long hitters. The tee shots are hit into undulating fairways that can kick balls to give the player a bad angle to an elevated green, and you do not want a bad angle around these greens. This property has all the quirk that golden age architecture can give.
