Shuttle Meadow Country Club, Berlin, CT. A 1917 Willie Park Jr. design that is seriously under the radar. The greens, with some MASSIVE contours, especially on the short par 5 18th hole. Such unique and a wide variety of greens and playability. Can use the ground game on most of the holes, massive false fronts, rolling fairways and elevation changes throughout the entire course. So much variety in one course, and with their bunker renovations that are going on through their master plan and if some tree removal is done throughout the upcoming years, I can see this place getting a lot of attention. The 4th hole in the 5th picture is in my top 18 hole’s I’ve ever played. Hit your tee shot closer to the creek on the left, the closer you have in to a back to front green. The creek bisects the fairway at around 300 yards at the slight dog leg right, then runs to the right of the green and behind the green. Very well placed bunkers, and a cool quote by Bobby Jones about the 14th hole in the 2nd picture. Lots of history, amazing greens, rolling fairways, any golfer will enjoy the challenge and fun Willie Park Jr. has created.
